I was chilling in my backyard having a glass of wine and then got this random phone call from Sam from a recording studio in Italy! He was with a kick-ass band and they were recording an album and they wanted me to lay down a guitar solo for their closing track – Stay.
Of course, I said yes. I sent the song and I started jamming on it and at the time I did something really bluesy… they dug it, but they wanted something more shreddy and ballsy, so I did a second take and let it RIP. I remember the guys sent me a video where I saw many bottles of beer on a table and they were giving me words of encouragement for the solo!!! They are such good dudes. And I’m so happy to be a part of this epic punk rock/grunge song on Sam’s solo album.
